September 8th: GT Curriculum Night/ KPGT/ DI info Night at Cinco Ranch Junior High. 7:00 PM-8:30 PM. I'll be presenting information on this year's curriculum in our breakout session.

September 22nd: Challenge Release Day for GT meetings off campus (Thursday~4th grade)
September 30th: Early Dismissal/ Challenge AM only
Mid-September: GT Kindergarten Screening letter sent to all Kindergarteners (Yellow Packet)

October 11th Kindergarten Parent Awareness Meetings
October 25th: Challenge Release Day for GT meetings off campus (Tuesday~3rd grade)
NOVEMBER
November 7th: Transition meeting for 5th grade parents. Discussion of Junior High GT Program options.
DECEMBER
December 1-2nd: Texas Association of Gifted & Talented Convention in Austin, Texas
December 2nd: Stargazing night at George Observatory for GT families. Exclusive KPGT Star Gazing Event.
A blue flyer is going home on November 16th. Look in your child's folder or backpack.
December 6th: FIELD TRIP TO THE GEORGE OBSERVATORY FOR ALL GT STUDENTS
NOTE: I have plenty of parents signed up for chaperones and will send a letter listing the 9 parents who will be assisting the younger students on their space mission as well as a list of the 9 parents for the older space mission. I am finding out this week whether or not the classroom lesson room and mission control rooms are open to our other chaperones during the time of the space missions. Stay tuned. :-)
As of today (11/16/2011), I have 29 parents signed up for the trip.
